Operation Haus is a design-led operating practice serving principals, developers, interior designers, hospitality groups, and private clients delivering design-driven projects. Acting as an embedded extension of the ownership and design team, we provide the operational infrastructure that transforms design intent into built reality. Rather than operating as a traditional procurement agency, we offer principal-level oversight and hands-on execution across the entire lifecycle. Our work is rooted in longstanding relationships with artists, independent workshops, specialty fabricators, and established manufacturers around the world. Equally comfortable coordinating bespoke commissions and trade buyout, we navigate the complexities of custom production, international sourcing, freight, and installation with the same level of care granted to the design itself. The result is a procurement process that is transparent, disciplined, and deeply aligned with the project's creative vision.
Established in 2020, Operation Haus was founded to provide embedded operational support for independent interior design studios calling for flexibility. What began as a boots-on-the-ground procurement and project management practice has grown into a collaborative network of seasoned specialists, assembled according to the specific needs of each project. In place of maintaining a classical agency structure, Operation Haus builds right-sized teams with complementary expertise; weaving into every project the appropriate technical, cultural, and operational leadership.
Procurement Process
We approach procurement as an exercise in operational stewardship rather than transactional purchasing. Beginning at design handover, we establish the systems, financial controls, and execution framework required to move a project from specification through final installation with an operator’s tact, and a curator’s eye.
Acting as an extension of the design team and client, we oversee trade account management, competitive pricing, budget administration, purchase orders, custom production, logistics, receiving, installation coordination, and project closeout. Throughout the process, we maintain a disciplined focus on transparency, documentation, accountability, and proactive communication; ensuring that every decision supports the project's design intent, budget, schedule, and ultimate success.
